Do you have to cover granite counter tops or is granite a material that does not absorb chametz?

Answered by Aaron AbadiNeither Granite nor Marble norFormica nor any smooth flat surface requires any covering or Kashering. We only Kasher things that it's main usage is to go directly on the fire, like pots and cooking utensils. We only need to cover counters and food preparation surfaces that have holes and cracks, like wood planks. AA
