Havdalah

Question

I just made Havdalah on Coke. Is this OK? I assume it is hamar medinah since if the President came to dinner, I would put it on the table. (I actually think Coke is the quintessential hamar medinah). Am I correct or did I just make a berakhah le-vatalah? Thanks
