Question

To all who use this site: So many of the questions being posted have been answered in previous posts. The Abadis have been up through the night answering all of these. Before posting do a search for your answer. That being said , I have 3 questions. 1. It seems we should not be selling chamets gomur for Pesach. Does that include Taaruvos ? (e.g veggie burgers that have wheat starch as the 3rd or 4th ingredient ) 2. You said pets are Muktzah on Shabbos ? Does that include Yom Tov as well? 3. We have a hot water urn that is used during the year with chamets all around ( sometimes we even put challah on Shabbos on top to warm it up). How can we kasher it for peasch? I don't think it actually boils the water so even if I heat it up and spill out the water does that kashur it? 4. When I do my searches for previous posts I find that many times only the questions - and not replies - are listed. Thanks for all you time. Chanan

1) Don't sell any Chametz from a private kitchen. When you own a restaurant, there is a market value to a large commercial volume of food. Selling that Chametz can be pretty kosher. When people sell a half opened box of cookies, it becomes more complicated. Now they sell the Bliot (absorptions) in the pots. What is the market rate for that. Then you have a situation where this non-Jew can't get to his stuff, and if he tried, he'll go to jail. How good is that? Interestingly enough, the ones that are so strict with Kitniyot, which is only a custom, are lax with selling Chametz, which if done improperly can be a very grave sin. Ironic. 2) Yes ("Ain Bain....") 3) No need to Kasher it. 4) I know. It's strange. It will be corrected any day with the new program. AA
