Hot Water
Question
If we follow your advice and lower the temperature on the hot water heater before Shabbat, it will still take a few hours before the boiler gets down to this temperature, and in the meantime, all the new water entering it is heated to yad soledet bo. What then do you suggest to get around this apparent problem? Also, isn't there a problem with washing the entire body with warm water on Shabbat (as opposed to limb by limb)?
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiAn hour before is more than enough, so if you take your shower an hour after you lower it you're fine. Hot water, not warm, is a problem. You can take a warm shower. AA
