hot water

Question

We have a hot water urn that we use on Shabbat. Last week we put cold roast on top of it to warm it up. However the fat from the meat melted all over the top of the pot. Can this pot be used to heat water for coffee with milk? (The inside of the pot is full of calcium buildup and it would be very difficult to clean it to kasher it)
