hot water for tea

Question

My electric hot water urn that we used for shabbat broke. Am I allowed to boil water before shabbat in a pot and place the covered pot on an electric warming tray to be left there thrughout the entire shabbat? Can we take water from it (without removing the pot) to use for tea and coffee throughut the day? Thank you.
