Hydrolyzed protein
Question
If a food product has hydrolyzed protein from pork as an ingredient, could it still be kosher. According to USDA, hydrolyzed proteins, used by the food industry to enhance flavor, are simply proteins that have been chemically broken apart into amino acids.
