instantly becoming a gelatin eater

Question

Thanx for the quick response with regard to whether begining to eat gelatin requires hatarat nedarim. I was wondering why it was assumed that I've been "floating" without a "solid rabbi". The fact that I find many of Rabbi Abadi's shitot so surprising is precicely because I have been taught differently by my rebbeim. Furthermore, I'm sure you will agree that I am taking the correct approach by first consulting with my rebbeim, whom I consider "solid", as to the practicality of this website. I hope it is clear that I mean no offense by this (although I'm sure there's a snappy remark or two waiting for me at the other end of this post :) ). You must understand that it would be difficult for someone like me to simply start eating gelatin and drinking unsupervised grapejuice, no questions asked, when I've always been taught not to do so.
