Joyva - again

Question

I have seen Joyva sesame candies in "glatt marts" repackaged under "heimshe" hashgacha. The Joyva wrapper is on it but the outside package says the name of the "heimishe" company. I have seen this with Cedrinc candies from Italy (they are really good). The inner wrapper has the Cedrinc label but the outside bag says Carmiel under Bedatz. Also Hacir Baba loukhoum from Turkey is repackaged by Galil under the OU. It gets interesting when people tell me that it is a "different run", that the mashgiah is standing there supervising it. One time, to settle the argument once and for all we even called Turkey on the cell phone and asked to speak to the Rabbi in the plant. Of course the owner of the company told us that no Rabbi had EVER visited the plant. The next call went to the "supervising" Rabbi (in NY) who did admit under pressure that he had merely verified by signed letter from the company that the ingredients on the label were indeed what they were stated to be. I always recommend to people that they try this themselves. Call a few "certified" companies and ask to speak to the "supervising" Rabbi. They will always give you a number in NY or Baltimore. Then ask the plant manager how often the "supervising" Rabbi visits the plant (if ever). You will find this to be true for "heimishe" companies as well as national kashrut administrators. If I had a thousand dollars for every time I have called the supervising agency/rabbi of a restaurant or grocery to report a blatant kashrut problem (ie chalav v'basar, hametz on Pesah, cooking/baking by Gentile staff on Shabbat/Yom Tov, serving outright treif from the hotel kitchen at a kosher affair etc) to have it COMPLETELY ignored, I would surely own my house outright without a mortgage!!!!!! I urge everyone to make phone calls, open your eyes, look around and you will see the truth everywhere around you!!!!
