Question

On your list for things allowed on Pesach is canned tuna from the companies Star Kist, Bumble Bee and Chicken of the Sea in both vegetable oil and water (which has vegetable broth in it). Isn't the vegetable oil or vegetable broth potentially hometz or kitniyos? Can you please explain why? Many thanks for your patience.
