Karaim

Question

Hi. I did a search on "sidelocks" as you wrote to someone in a previous post, and I came along a fascinating website on Karaim. Now, I have learned all my life about these people who are very wrong in interpreting the torah and I am just curious- what is the story with them? I was surprised to see that they are still around today. Are we allowed to read things that write? What is the whole Karaite movement all about.

We are not allowed to read it. I saw the site, too. They only follow the written Torah. If there was no "Torah Shebaal Peh," the originally unwritten explanation & additives that were handed down along with the Torah, then the whole Torah would be gibberish. The less we know, the more options we have..... AA
