Question

I'll try again. If you are a non-kosher affair and they provide you with a kosher meal, you are permitted to eat it using the utensils that everyone else is using, rather than the plastic fork and knife they give you with the kosher meal. This is because we assume the caterer's utensils have not been used in the last 24 hours. But let's say that your kosher meal has onions in it. Do we then say that you can't use the caterer's fork and knife since when you cut the onions the non-kosher taste in the fork and knife are brought out (since the onion is a sharp food)? Thanks
