Question

Dear Rav, 2. That is exactly what Aaron said, its hard to be relevant. I don't think anyone said that cutting meat cooking in an oven is kli sheni. CYA I can`t say specifically a knife, but certainly putting a fork into a roast in the oven he said it was kli sheni. Is there a difference beteween a knife and a fork? Is this knife a kli rishon and how else does a knife become kli rishon? Thanks, Martin

There is no difference in this respect between knife and fork. If you know for sure that it was used in a kli rishon, it has the Halacha of a kli rishon, in reference to the absorbed taste in it. In reference to koshering, (this is where the confusion is I think) if the knife or fork are normally used as kli sheni, then they would not need hagala, even though they are sometimes used in kli rishon. We go according to the majority use. CYA
