Question

Someone raised an interesting point. There are many Jews in the U.S. One could then argue that bitul does not work since the company is making the product, with the treif ingredient, for the Jews as well. How is this argument to be refuted.

One who learns the Halachot of Taaruvot wouldn't have this question. It's very clear in there. The Issur is a fine, a punishment given to one who "deliberately" is Mevatel the Issur for the purpose of being Mevatel the Issur. Try imagining the guys at a Coca-cola board meeting discussing how to be Mevatel an Issur. It's absurd. AA
