Kosher Chese

Question

I heard, but not sure if it's true, that even kosher cheese uses animal-derived Renet. In order to make the cheese kosher, the animal where the Renet comes from is a kosher animal. Is this true? Because if it is, then it implies that any cheese is OK, otherwise, we would be eating basar v'chalav.
