koshering for passover

Question

is it okay if i took metal measuring spoons that were not used for fourty eight hours put them in a glass measuring cup instead of a boiling pot but i poured boiling water over them

If the measuring spoons needed koshering for use in a pot, then pouring over it didn't help CYA
