Lactaid is NOT a medication

Question

I'd like to clarify here that Lactaid is not a medication. It is a digestive aid. More specifically, it is an enzyme that breaks down the sugar called lactose. This sugar occurs in milk. Some people, as they grow up, become lactose intolerant. The way i see it, it could be argued that you can avoid taking lactaid if you avoid milk! So what's the deal?
