laundry

Question

If you run out, for real, yes. This does not mean you have others, but they are dirty from before Yom Tov and that's why you ran out. It means you only own the ones you already used for Yom Tov and now your stuck with only dirty ones from the Yom Tov. Otherwise, in that case you cannot, because you pushed off washing them to Chol Hamoed. This is the reason laundry is assur. To avoid having people push it off till then when they are not so busy. I washed all my tableclothes before yomtov (to ensure they were clean of chametz), however most of them are stained and don't look so good. We have 2 clean looking clothes that we save for yomtov/shabbat, these are the ones I want to wash, despite that I have other ones available, is this ok? Thanks, shabbat shalom and chag sameach

If you are saying that you don't have nice ones for Yom Tov that are clean and the other ones are not nice for Yom Tov, then yes, you can wash them. CYA
