Question

How much should lettece be checked for bugs?, must we check under an ultra violet light? Thank you again, MoCo

You need to check enough that there will not be any bugs. You can buy Bodek or Gush Katif brands. You can clean each leaf by rubbing your fingers across the whole leaf under running water, so if there was any bug, it would have washed off. Or you can eat red cabbage instead. Bugs don't like red cabbage. AA
