ma'aser

Question

Kavod HaRav- who is responsible to give ma'aser of that which he/she earned?---if I made $ over the summer, but i still depend on my father's $, do I need to give 1/10? I want to give tzedaka anyway, but i just wanted to know if it has to be specifically 1/10, or any amount, in my case? Thank you!

The minimum charity requirement of Ma'asar is 1/10th of any income. A generous person should give up to 1/5th. AA
