Magnetic Induction Stovetop

Question

I am going to be spending some time on a boat whose stovetop works on magnetic induction technology. From what I understand, the "burners" don't actually get hot at all. There are magnetic waves that heat up the pan and the "burners" remain cool and just focus the magnetic waves. I am not sure what the surfaces are made out of I just know that when you remove the pan they are cool enough to touch. The question is whether they need Koshering and, if so, how to do it.
