Question

Kvod haRav... the 39 melachos: colouring is after combing and b4 weaving if i remember correctly... and i only ever heard that colouring applies to food, not your face :-) anyhow, asides from the colouring aspect- is there any other issur against makeup? and then if colouring is the issue- how is shabbos makeup permissable?

My father holds that Shabbos makeup is not permissable. CYA
