Meat Fork Follow-up

Question

This is a follow-up to the question asked, by Clarissa, below: Would it make a difference if the fork was metal? I came home and found that my roommate had placed a greasy metal meat fork in a cold dairy frying pan. I assume the fork was cold because the grease was caked on. My intention is not to speak Lashon HaRa'. Just giving the details. Do either the fork or pan need to be kashered?
