Metamucil 2

Question

Your father writes in his sefer than one may not take Metamucil on shabbos because of Refuah. WHat about it one takes it every morning and if he doesnt he feels "diffrent" may he then take shabbos morning as well?

I'm not understanding the logic. Things for Refuah (medicine) are not allowed on Shabbat, except when sick enough to be bed-ridden or similar. You can eat bran, but Metamucil is taken as a medicine. AA >> I have previously understood that medicine if taken on a daily basis can be taken on shabbos. Or maybe that is just whne if you miss one day it makes a diffrence??? Is this completley made up I used to take antibiotics on shabbos based on that.
