Question
I went to a friend of mine's house who said that Rabbi Abadi told him that a room that is 16 square amot but is not four amot by four amot is exempt from mezuzah. The Shulchan aruch 286:13 says the opposite, however. I believe my friend made a mistake since I know that Rabbi Abadi did not say the opposite of the Shulchan Aruch. How can I correct him without insulting him? I am somewhat frightened as I am told he has a gun...

Answered by Chaim Yisrael AbadiYou should try comedy. :-) If you find time in between shows, look at the Shach and other Mipharshim. You'll find that it is not so simple. My father has a Teshuva explaining why he paskens like the other shitot, even thought the Shulchan Aruch says so. CYA
