Question

It is very dangerous to boil plain water in the microwave. There have been cases where the water can explode in people's faces. See http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/consumer/erupted.html Is there any other way to kosher a microwave or can we add anything to the water to decrease the chances that it will explode?
