MikvehWear

Question

K'Vod HaRav, I saw mention of wearing a bathing suit during Tevila for women. Is this b'sha'at had'chak? What are the parameters? And for my skeptical friends can you please note sources? Thanks (I can't tell you what embarrassment this would have avoided over the years while on vacation!) (Not to mention preservation of Shalom Bayit!)

1) No it is LeChatchilah permitted. People read it in Shulchan Aruch and they make Diyukim that are not in sync with the Gemara. 2) Any clothing that allows the water to get to your body. If you took off that clothing, the body would be wet. 3) Beitza 18A, Ramba"m Mikvaot 1:7, Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah 198:46, (and don't let them quote you the Shach, because he's talking about when the water doesn't get through to the body.) (& not to mention Karet by many people) AA
