Question

1. If I am eating meat at a table and m friend s eating dairy, what do I need to do? Is putting a table mat under my plate enough? 2. If a non-kosher flavor is mixed with a kosher flavor to create another flavor and the non-kosher ingredient is less than 1/60th, is it considered batel. On the one hand, the non-kosher flavor helps create a taste, but on the other hand, the non-kosher taste is itself not noticable.
