Milk on Passover

Question

I had recently heard that if milk is not labelled kosher for passover, I should not buy it during Passover -- rather, I should have bought it before the holiday. Is this correct? If so, could you explain why? And if so, does this apply to products other than milk? Thanks.

It is not so and it does not apply to any other commercially available products. CYA
