Question

My point in writing about these very incredible unbelievable true occurances that were my own personal experiences and NOT hearsay was to stress the degree to which we as a people have "dropped the ball". The irony of the Hollywood Florida pizza store incident was that the owners were Shomrei Shabbat, people who I had known for years, members of our Sephardic Jewish center. Because the couple did not "look" reliable to the certifying Rabbi, he insisted that they hire a mashgiah for the store. The man that was hired by the Vaad in Broward county looked very frum with his beard, peyos and tzitzit hanging out from his white shirt over his black pants. He had studied the laws of kashrut and although admitting to being a Baal Teshuvah was hired to supervise the store. The owner of the store immediately figured out that he was a goy and the supervising agency did not believe it for weeks. When a friend of ours was able to get a picture of this man entering a local Church, and presented it to the supervising Rabbi, then and only then was the story believed!!! The owner of the store kashered the kitchen herself and the Vaad dropped their requirement of a mashigiah. Our local Bais Yaakov only hired these two Gentile math and science teachers so that the girls could get into good colleges and better support their learning husbands. The Rabbis had decided that righteous Gentiles were a better influence on the girls than non religious Jews. After these teachers were fired they were replaced with Jewish teachers. Heidi who was doing taharot was a real infiltrator in the community. She had been posing as a Jew for years and had been even giving shiurim. Everyone in the Lubavitch community in which she lived believed her story that she was Sephardic. When, I, a Sephardic Jew visited the synagogue to attend a simcha, I chatted with her briefly and immediately realized that she was not a Jew at all. Several phone calls later it became apparent that she had been missionizing in the community for quite a while. My point was not really to try to guess WHY she was so eager to do taharos, but the fact that she had infiltrated far enough that scores of Jewish women were buried over the course of several months after having their tahara done by a GOY! One of the two missionaries who were hired by Magen David Sephardic Jewish center was also interviewed by several other local Orthodox Rabbis who were all impressed with his knowledge of the Gemara. This particular missionary attended Ohr Sameach for four years, learned at Ahi Ezer for two, then went to Mexico City to learn in a kollel with Rabbi Entebbe, married a Jewish woman there and went on to jobs in Dallas, West Orange, Atlanta and Miami before being discovered by an elderly Yemenite lady who recognized the dialect of Arabic that he was speaking as that of the Christians who live in Iran rather than that of the Damascenean Jewish community where he claimed his parents were from. At her instance an extensive professional background check was done and it was discovered that his immigration sponsorship was that of a Missionary organization, his certificate of Smicha was a forgery. I feel that it is proper to be paranoid about occurances such as these. I would be surprised if they were not repeated in every other Jewish population center in the world. There are Christian organizations that are spending millions and millions of dollars planting the seeds of apikorsis in our children. We are very busy being paranoid about the possibility of trace amounts of animal fats in the release agents that are used to grease the pans in manufactured baked goods and meanwhile we are not paying attention to very educated middle aged women who take jobs as domestics in Jewish homes in order to teach the children of the best and brightest of our people about their gods. (yes an ACTUAL ministers wife with a Masters degree was working as a maid in the home of two doctors who lived two doors up from me. They felt so lucky to have such a refined educated babysitter for their children and did not care that it made no sense whatsoever that she would work in such a job. Picking up a copy of the Church bulletin from the church where this woman's husband was the pastor, revealed that it was considered a "mission of the church" that the middle class wives of the church members (it was a fairly affluent area) would do their "mission" for Christ by taking jobs as domestics in Jewish homes and teaching the children about the "goodness".) How many Jewish children are being taught Christianity after school by maids while their mothers are out working to "pay tuition and camp"? The point of this entire tirade is that we, and many of our Rabbis, have been misunderstanding and misusing Halacha to keep people out who should be in, and to let people in who should be kept out. The more we are aware of this, the greater the likelihood that we will be able to preserve our ways.
