Mixed Marriage
Question
I am Ashkanaz and my wife is Sephardic. (Her mother is Sephardic and her father is Ashkanaz but they always followed Sephardic customs.) My wife insists on Sephardic customs in our house, especially during Pesach. Is it appropriate to choose one set of customs to follow for the household? If so, how do we chose? While I can get myself to eat corn on Pesach since it's not really kitniyot (based on the opinion posted here at kashrut.org), I don't think I can get myself to eat rice. For the sake of Shalom Bayit, should I just eat whatever my wife cooks?
