How can you say it is prohibited for men and women to sing together? It states openly in Tanach that David Hamelech had "sharim v'sharot" - a choir of men and women!

a) Barzilai Hagilaadi was the one, not King David. b) Shlomo Hamelech (King Solomon) had "sharim v'sharot" c) Rashi Kohelet 2:8 translates them as musical instruments. d) The Gemara in Gittin 68a translates it as "Miney Zemer," types of music. Meaning according to Rashi musical instruments. Are you suggesting that men & women can get together and sing? AA
