Natural Flavors
Question
I read the replies regarding natural flavors, and I would appreciate if you could elaborate somewhat. This is very important, because it is a major difference between your approach and that of the kashrut organizations. Companies include variety of things under the heading "natural flavors." This can include even meat ingredients (as is stated on the FDA website). These ingredients are included because they give some flavor (however slight) to the product. But the flavor obviously has some effect on the final product or they wouldn't include it. With that being the case, how is it that we can eat the product without confirming from the company what exactly is included in the "natural flavors"? From my understanding of the halakhah, since these flavors contribute to the taste, there is a halakhic problem. If I am wrong, please clarify this matter. Thank you.

The facts were laid out for you & if you did read the replies, you should have more than enough info. Now, you want to be convinced. We're not in that business. You need to get yourself a RAV, and ask him. Aaron Abadi
