Non-kosher restaurant

Question

Dear Rabbis CYA and AA, For so long, AA has been saying that we can eat things in non-kosher places that they prepare - provided we take precautions about bishul akum, etc. - because of setam kelim and because we don't have to be concerned about utensils. In a recent post, though, you stated that the reason pasta can't be eaten out is because of the utensils. What's the deal? Thanks

It was clarified since. The only time utensils are an issue is when owned by a Jew and he did not Tovel (dip) them in water. Ask for plastic silverware & you're fine. AA
