The five Minim (types) of grain are two from the wheat family and three from the barley family. The oat family is not even a distant cousin. Someone woke up one morning, and for lack of a sufficient transalation, decided to use oats. Look at what oats look like and look at wheat & barley. No relation! PS Cap'n Crunch cereal & PB Capn Crunch Cereal are thus Kosher for P for Sephardim AA
