OU D and OU DE

Question

As a result of the two emails of today one OU D and the other OU dairy equipment, I am confused. If the OU label includes a D, I assume it is truly a Dairy product. If the label is OU DE, I assume the product is what it is, and whatever possibility of any dairy particles would be batel b'shishim. Is my understanding correct?
