pesach cleaning
Question
Can you please post the minimum requirements needed to pesach clean. Is it necessary to move beds and other furniture? Is there a concept that if you don't know the chometz exists and don't see it, then it's no problem. For instance if a pretzel fell under a couch pillow, but you never lift the couch pillow is that a problem?
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiYou are looking for small edible pieces of Chametz, not crumbs. You need to look in places that you would normally bring Chametz into. Not a bathroom. Not the crawl space in a basement or attic. and the like. If people eat by the couch, then you must check in and around the couch. Check coat pockets of the children. Check the kitchen, of course. Check the dining room. Check the bedrooms, if they sometimes bring food in there. Don't forget, Kitniyot (beans & rice) are not Chametz. You don't have to look for them and you shouldn't throw them out or burn them. AA
