Pesach List
Question
Dear Rabbi, I have been a loyal fan of your site for many years now. In particular, I have always been able to glean a wealth of information from your Pesach list each year, information that "The Powers That Be" in the Kashrut industry prefer to hide from the rest of us. However, like many others who use this site, I have a posek (my Rosh Yeshiva) that I have been consulting with for personal halachic issues for my entire life. He recommended I utilize kashrut.org for informational purposes and spoke highly of the reliability and qualifications of Rav Abadi. In the end, though - with all due respect, and a lot is due! - I continue to consider my Rosh Yeshiva "my" posek. With this in mind, I am concerned about the upcoming pesach list. Although I trust Rabbi Abadi 100%, my Posek is not ready to endorse oats as acceptable for Pesach use (kitniyot). Thus, I cannot consume products that contain oats on Pesach! I am worried that I will not be able to use the Pesach list because it will include items that contain oats and I am not permitted to eat these. My question is, for those of us who use this site for informational purposes ONLY and not for pesak, is there any way that the list can be enhanced to reflect which items are only permitted for everyone and which are permitted only for those who treat oats as kitniyot? Thank You for all of your hard work.
