placemats for meat and mild

Hello, If i eat alone at the table, with a placemat can i use the same one at different times for meat alone or mild alone and if the answer is yes, we area dealing with cloth not plastic ones which can be wiiped clean, there will be some spillageof food until i get them in the washer,though by the time the oopposite, meat ormilkis put on , it will be dry thank you, you know how we askkenazim have been taught to be kashrut crazy, like an electric current of tumah that never ends
