Answered by Aaron AbadiIn order for meat that was absorbed in a pot to make the dairy food not kosher, it must be "Ben Yomo." This means that you knew for certain that it was used for meat & then milk within a 24 hour period. Ben Yomo= of the same day. If you have a meat pot that you don't know when it was last used for meat, it is called a Stam Keli, or a regular pot. The rule is that a regular pot (Stam Keli) is considered not of the same 24 hour period (Ben Yomo). Therefore as long as you don't know for sure that a meat pot was used for meat within the last 24hours, & you now used it for dairy, the food is Kosher. The same goes for a dairy pot used for meat. AA
