Pregnant & Fasting ?

Question

My wife is in her 38th week, and at her weekly appointment today, her doctor advised her regarding the upcoming fast: eat if you feel hungry; drink if you're thirsty. But definitely do not fast. 1 = what should she do as far as Tzom Gedalya ? 2 = what should she do as far as Yom Kippur ? 3 = What is the law regarding fasting if she delivers between now and Yom Kippur ? Thank you.
