Question

You often make comments about Conservative poskim, many of which I agree with. However, they have one advantage - since they are, by definition, a new movement they have articulated there own system by which they decide halakha. Whether or not that has any value is a separate question. What would interest me is the beginning of an articulation of a valuable derekh hapsak. Cleary Rav Abadi is bold and willing to pasken what he thinks is correct, regardless of what the majority of the Orthodox community does. I wonder if you have developem a system for dealing with specific phenomena. For example: 1. How would you deal with a seif in the shulkan arukh which is machmir against Rov Rishonim and the pshat of the gemara? 2. What if the mechaber were meikel? 3. What if the Rema paskens a daat yachid - lchumra or lekula - would there be a threshold at which you would disagree? 4. Do you feel bound by mocern poskim at all - Rav Moshe, Tzizt Eliezer...? What about Nodah Byehuda and Hatam Sofer? 5. Do you ever pasken from the Gemara against the Shulkan Arukh? What about using the Rambam? I know that this seems very theoretical but I think that you would provide a great service to the community if you could lay out some basic principles.
