Quinoa and kitniyot

Question

Even if Quinoa is kitniyot then can't sepharadim who eat kitnoiyot allowed to eat it?

Sephardim can eat Quinoa and Ashkenazim who had the minhag not to eat it till now, still cannot eat it. CYA
