Dear Rabbi, I noticed you omitted any mention of the works of the Rambam in your description of the proper order of Torah study. Are you suggesting that there is a good reason to leave, let's say, the Mishneh Torah out of the program?

The Rambam is an essential component of the laws we keep today. The reason why it is not necessary to read through all the Rambams is because wherever he differs, he is quoted by the other Rishonim and certainly by the Beit Yosef. At that time, if you feel the need, you should look it up. AA
