You answered Harry that the Dor Yeshurin test is a necessity. I'm wondering why? It's true it tests for some awful diseases, however it's no guarantee for the hundred other diseases it doesn't cover. Shoudn't one just have bitchon?

Answered by Chaim Yisrael AbadiThis question is not a simple one. However the bottom line, is a person has a chiyuv of hishtadlus. The question is how far to go. But, either way, i said it is a necessity because of the others, not because of the person taking the test. We do things that we are not happy with, but we do it for the shidduch. Why not do your own thing and forget how people look at it. It doesn't work that way in the real world. Right or wrong is irrelevant. CYA
