re: Hypocrisy
Question
RE: "i have found many bochurim in EY that will only eat badatz (at home) but can still go to people's homes on shabbos who aren't neccessarily makpid is there any such svarah " I think it does makes sense. As we know - "Aid echad neeman b'issurim" and we can technically believe any religious jew that something is kosher. These boys don't know "who is who" and stay with a hashgacha that they feel (for what ever reason) is one of the best. However, when they eat in someones house, the Baal Habayit is in essence giving testimony that the food he is serving is kosher (regardless who's supervision it is under) and the guest may rely on that 100%. Regarding your discussion on beepers on Shabbat, How does that translate to Hatzalah carring radios? Ther is no contradiction.
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiThe boys in EY are silly. If they don't eat something because they don't trust those Rabbis, then they shouldn't eat in people's homes that do trust those Rabbis. If they trust those people in their homes, why can't they trust them to trust those Rabbis.... Do you follow? Beepers/Radios, what's the question exactly? AA
