re: rebbe moshe

Question

so then you are saying that rebbe moshe did not know the factual element of the processing aspects to the making of gelatin. according to you it comes out that either he disagrees with your psak(which is fine) and holds gelatin is treif or according to the way you learn, rebbe moshe is pasking that gelatin is treif because he was ignorant of gelatin manufacturing (is this possible)? are you saying that gelatin processing is different since rebbe moshe died? i would like to think that rebbe moshe only made halachik decisions after undertaking a thourough analysis of all the facts. therefore it seems more plausible to say that he disagrees with your defintion of gelatin, just like he disagreed with his contemporary r. chaim ozer grodenski.

I would hate to respond to this "statement," which was clearly made by someone completely unaware of the way that the Halachah works, and clearly never learned the Seforim, gemaras, & Teshuvot necessary to know what is right and what is wrong in deciding Halachot, and does not know the history of Rav Moshe and those around him, either. I guess that you're a Yeshiva guy trying to get your feet wet in Halachic debates. I'm not looking to debate you, and I prefer that you find something else to do. Learning Yevamos Be'Iyun does not qualify you to know Halachah. If any of your comments were true, we would have to erase thousands of pages in all our Seforim. AA
