Renee, Kol Hakavod on your letter to those people who would choose to show such disrespect to Haham Abadi. Your note was well writen and on point. However, I think I have missunderstood your term the "medieval cousin of Judaism" as a reference to Ashkenazi Jews. I hope that I missunderstood you. Your well thought-out and cogent letter would be diminished by such an arrogant dissmisal of an entire group of OUR people.
