Restaurant

Question

1. How can you have veggie burgers at a restaurant? Isn't it bishul akum? Also, how should they heat it up so that it doesn't absorb non-kosher taste? These are very important halakhot that we all need to know. 2. Re. Subway, don't you think that no matter how clean the Subway is, that a particle or two of non-kosher meat will fall into the veggies. Since thw workers are sticking their hands in the meat and the veggies, there will always be something that's left in it. How are we supposed to make sure when we get the veggies that they do not contain any non-kosher meat? You can look very closely at the veggies, but there might be a small piece stuck within. Please explain how one can do this successfully, as it seems impossible to do -- it obviously can be done, since you attest to it, but I just don't know how. Or is it that we are not concerned that a small piece of meat might fall in (but since it is not ground in, I thought this was a problem?

1) look at the previous post. 2) Normally there isn't meet crumbs, meat doesn't really crumb, and they're trained to be real clean. If it did get mixed in and you can't see it, it's Batel (rendered insignificant) since it is less than 1/60th. If you do see a piece of ham, take it off and throw it out, or better yet, give it back to them. AA
