Rice with meat and dairy

Question

Dear Rabbi Could you please instruct me? Am I able to cook rice in a dairy pot and then serve it with meat? Am I able to cook rice in a meat pot and then serve it with dairy? How can I cook a pot of rice and serve it with meat at one time and then later at another time with dairy? Is it advisable to have a third set of pots and utensils just for parve?
